Adjusting the toggle setting
During the clamping process, the toggle should be in a particular position in relation to the axle centre. Adjustment is unavoidable because of the threaded bolts which have been screwed in differently.
Previously: steel shims. Multiple trial and error and grinding of the lower toggle surface until the desired position was achieved.
Now: M-Tech®L shims. Only has to be tried once. A defined number of films is peeled off depending on the toggle position. 1 film = approx. 15° adjustment (M8 thread).
M-Tech®L is made from aluminium, brass, unalloyed or stainless steel films glued on top of one another in sheet hicknesses ranging from 0.4 to 3.2 mm. The film thicknesses are 0.05 mm or 0.075 mm.
