Laminum®/M-Tech®L describe peelable laminated sheets. This means material which consists of layers metal foils. These are bonded with polymer resins to make a panel. A special property of Laminum®/M-Tech®L is the possibility to manually remove the foil layers simply by peeling them off, and in this way to reduce the foil thickness.
This means that Laminum®/M-Tech®L parts can be adapted to fit a joint in order to compensate production tolerances of different components.
Variants
Laminum®/M-Tech®L are made of the following materials: aluminium Al99.5, Aluminium wrought alloy AlMg3.0, mild steel, alloyed steel or brass. The foils are 0.05 mm, 0.075 mm and 010 mm thick. The shim stock is usually fully laminated using one foil thickness. However, on request, it would be possible to follow a different procedure.
The panel thicknesses range from 0.4 mm up to 3.2 mm. The panel dimensions are 600 mm x 1200 mm. In individual cases, panels with different dimensions can be produced as long as these are smaller than the standard. Please contact us to find out about other possibilities.
Scope of product definition
Laminum®M-Tech®L are at present only manufactured to the specifications given. It is, however, possible to laminate other materials upon request. We would be pleased to tackle your wishes and challenges regarding the Laminum®/M-Tech®L products. We are a pioneer in Europe and therefore a reliable partner in this field.
Manufacturing method
Laminum®/M-Tech®L are manufactured by applying layers of laminating resins to the individual foils.
The desired thickness of the panel is tested exactly to a hundredth of a millimetre. The starting products are then pressed into individual panels in a laminating press through pressure and heat.
After undergoing cooling and finishing processes, the panels are then transferred to be further processed.
