Stamping describes shear cutting using conventional tool technologies from the field of metal processing.
Stamping and deep-drawing are the long-lasting techniques used to form metallic semi-finished products, specifically split strips and cold-rolled strip. Having our own tool-making team means that we can produce high-precision tools with very low cutting gaps. This enables us to cut metal foils with thicknesses of 0.025 mm with a component diameter of up to 150 mm.
The processes mentioned above are supported by a modern pressing machine for sheet-forming. Georg Martin GmbH is particularly well-equipped for pure stamped parts, which essentially just cut one geometric shape out of a plate, due to our specialisation in the field of shims.
Our presses range from 40 to 400 tonnes of press power. We have both individual presses and stamping machines with compound and transfer tools.
We also use nibbling machines, in order to have flexibility in producing small lots.
